Breaking: Another Kinda Famous White Guy Cheats on Hotter Supermodel Wife

How come some beautiful woman gets cheated on by their below-average boyfriend/husband every couple of months? It seems like the majority of couples that the internet obsesses over tend to cheat on one another, resulting in a messy and drama-filled split.

That is exactly what recently happened between Maroon 5’s lead singer Adam Levine and Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo. Right after she announced her pregnancy with her third child, a TikTok surfaced, exposing Adam of allegedly cheating on his wife of eight years. Since that initial video, more women have come out sharing what seems to be DMs between Levine and them.

Model Sumner Stroh posted the video onto her TikTok account, explaining that she felt she would not hold her “story” any longer. She told the whole internet that she allegedly had an affair with Levine. She said she felt that she would be blackmailed by her old friends. The most shocking part—he wanted to name his baby after her if it was a boy. This caused a shockwave across socials like Twitter and Instagram. He has since apologized on his Instagram, admitting to his flirtatious DMs, but it remains unclear where his relationship with Prinsloo stands.

However, no one really knows if the affair was real, only the DMs are confirmed. She was still an adult when this occurred, so why are we letting her play the victim online? Levine’s marriage has never been a secret—he had a very public relationship with Behati. Stroh claims to have been “young and naive,” but these are still things that she should have understood. The DMs had to have started when she was an adult, therefore being able to comprehend what she was about to do. While older men exploiting and manipulating younger women is nothing new in our society (unfortunately), it’s hard to believe that Stroh truly wasn’t able to understand how cheating could impact a marriage and Levine’s relationship with his children. Although, we live in a society where we are quick to drag a woman who got cheated on instead of holding the man or the cheater accountable, which lacks logic.

However, social media has given us a bright side to this cheating scandal, as it does with every other news-worthy occurrence: memes. Levine’s DMing skills are so bad that they're now a new meme template. People insert a picture, and write captions below it like: “That body of yours is absurd.” It’s hard to believe that he would text women like this and they would still respond to him.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that some guy would cheat on his gorgeous girlfriend/wife. Most famously—Beyonce and Jay-Z. His absence caused her to have a miscarriage with his baby, as he revealed in his song “4:44.” Following this, they both released albums opening up about their struggles together. Beyonce’s song “Sorry” famously featured these very struggles. However, they did get back together. Other celebrities that have been cheated on include Jennifer Garner and Robert Pattinson.

While there are many reasons why people cheat, the majority of the time it's simply because they're insecure. People who are in relationships and cheat usually do so on impulse, not premeditatedly. To get scientific, infidelity has several factors to it. “An analysis revealed eight key reasons: anger, self-esteem, lack of love, low commitment, need for variety, neglect, sexual desire, and situation or circumstance.” The cheater has to fall under one or several categories to engage in something with someone other than their partner, whether it's flirty texts or sleeping with them.

We see others get cheated on and think to ourselves, “They were so attractive, how could they?” We try to find and understand how someone so seemingly great could have gotten cheated on when in reality, the focus should be shifted to the cheater. We should start thinking things like, “What did they have going on that caused them to do that?” This, of course, is not excusing the action but instead critiquing the cheater instead of the victim in the relationship. Looks, intelligence, wealth, and status aren’t and shouldn’t be something that gets investigated, as it’s obvious that it stopped mattering.

Getting cheated on is obviously a horrible thing that no one hopes they experience someday, but cheaters will be cheaters. Getting back together with one is a risky decision, just ask Beyonce.
