Harry Styles is Back!
If you’re wondering what everyone’s main conversation topics are right now, allow me to fill you in.
If they’re not talking about the devastating state of the world or this cold snap we’re experiencing, then they’re talking about the internet’s heartthrob: Harry Styles.
Yes, he’s back like never before, and he even brought out his disco pants for the occasion. After years of built-up excitement from fans, new music, a tour, and a totally new era were announced all in the span of a week. I can’t speak for anyone else, but that gave me huge whiplash.
It’s normal not to understand why this is such a big deal or what to expect in the coming months.
Styles’ previous tour, LOT (Love on Tour), lasted about two years, spanning from Sept. 4th, 2021, to July 22nd, 2023. The tour became an occasion for many fans to dress up in colorful outfits, feather boas, and other unique accessories. It was also a safe space where fans have done proposals, gender reveals, and other personal interactions, which Styles greatly encouraged!
After the tour ended, the ex-One Direction member stayed low profile, offline, and out of the country.
Styles was mostly spotted by paparazzi or fans in Italy or in London, where he’d always be pictured riding bikes, jogging, or out with a beau.
Over the past three years, since LOT ended, Styles has been in flings and relationships with a few iconic women.
In March of 2023, Styles was videoed in a hot makeout session with internet mogul Emily Ratajkowski. The video went viral, and Ratajkowski later told Paper Magazine about how “bizarre” it had been to have a private moment made public.
Later in 2023, Styles entered a relationship with award-winning actress Taylor Russell. The relationship spanned approximately a year before the two stopped being photographed together.
In August of 2025, Styles was first spotted with another actress. Zoe Kravitz, or Cat Woman, has been seen at his arm ever since.
Styles has rarely ever commented on his relationships, letting his music speak for him. His new album, Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally, comes out March 6th. What we know so far from the album title and the lead single, Aperture, is that Styles is bringing back a blend of synth and electro-pop. The album is produced by Kid Harpoon, who also produced Harry’s previous album, Harry’s House.
What Styles has said he wants most out of this era: Dance. He has stated in interviews so far that he wants people to wear comfortable shoes to his tour so they can bust out their best dance moves.
However, many critics and even fans of Styles have one thing in common regarding this new era: they are not happy about ticket prices for the upcoming tour.
All over the internet, people have expressed their frustration with the expensive ticket prices they encountered while on Ticketmaster. Most of the prices people are angry about are the seats costing anywhere from $800 to over $1,000.
Styles’ ex-band member Zayn Malik went viral at one of his concerts for making a joke about these ticket prices. “You could’ve been anywhere, but you decided to spend your night with me. Hopefully the ticket prices weren’t too high,” Malik said with a smirk. The crowd cheered and laughed at this playful comment.
Understandably, fans would be confused by these prices, considering Styles’ previous tours were much more affordable, even with his One Direction success.
Another critique about the tour is that it only includes a few major cities. He’s doing 10 nights in Amsterdam, 12 nights in London, four nights in São Paulo, six nights in Mexico City, 30 nights in New York, three nights in Melbourne, and two nights in Sydney.
Styles has only announced these seven cities so far, and many fans are disappointed that the tour doesn't offer more variety.
All in all, the excitement for a new Harry Styles era prevails, and it’s another way for fans to reconnect with him and his music after a long while apart.
So, as the man himself has said, don’t forget to go out and buy disco-appropriate outfits this year.
See you all on the dance floor.
Strike out,
