Kendall by KKW Fragrance: What You Should Know and What to Expect

Last week, Kim and her sister Kendall made waves with the newest collaboration to come out of the Kardashian clan: Kendall by KKW Fragrance. The announcement was made on Kendall’s Instagram on March 18th, picturing her long black locks with a gorgeous black horse to match. Kendall is the last of the Kardashian sisters to get in on the action with a set of three distinct perfumes inspired by her childhood memories of horseback riding and her love of nature. “[Kim] and I put together three of my all-time favorite scents I’ve ever smelt,” she wrote, adding, “get yourself some if you wanna smell like a nature fairy princess.” While I have never considered myself a princess in any way when it comes to the great outdoors, I sure would love to smell like one. The three scents in the new collaboration are called Amber, Olive and Blue Roan, packaged in simple glass bottles to accent any vanity, while paying homage to the horseshoes that represent Kendall’s childhood.
Although the pretty packaging sells itself, here is what smelling like a “nature fairy princess” actually entails. Amber has an enticing blend of Vert de Mandarin, Ylang Ylang, White Rose, Creamy Cedarwood and Sandalwood. This creates an earthier floral scent to provide a more feminine option in the trio. Olive is seen as more of a unisex fragrance due to its unique notes of bergamot, freesia, patchouli and vetiver. Kendall states that this may be her favorite in the collection because it is “perfectly balanced,” continuing on to say, “it's an easy, wearable and long-lasting scent” making it perfect for both day and nightwear. Lastly, Blue Roan completes the set with a sweet, musky scent featuring vibrant citrus, pear blossom and luxurious amber woods. All three fragrances team up to create the ultimate luxe feel of fresh air on a warm day, setting you back $40 each.

Kendall explained in an official press statement, “I've always had a passion for fragrances and it was meaningful to experience the creative process with someone I admire like Kim...Kim and her team did an amazing job bringing my vision to life and I’m in love with my first fragrance collection with the brand!” KKW fragrance has been around since 2017, yet has wasted little time in releasing a myriad of stand-alone fragrances and collections. Kim has collaborated with all the Kardashian sisters, however, Kendall’s bottles are different from anything KKW has done before. The fresh, rich scents not only capture versatility, but also familiarity, reminding buyers of classic simplicity with a touch of nostalgia. I never rode horseback, nor did I ever become friends with the ever-expanding forests behind my house, but I can already tell these scents may tempt me to add a little nature back into my lifestyle.
The Kendall by KKW Fragrance trio will be available only on KKWFragrance.com. Individually, each fragrance retails for $40, or they can be bought in a special Kendall by KKW Fragrance Bundle for $110.
