Rating PR Couples

With the most recent press for Wuthering Heights, I can’t help but cringe a little while watching Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi try to fake a romantic connection in interviews. Jacob looks like he’s doing a school project, and Margot saying she found herself feeling codependent with him had PR written all over it. It got me thinking about one of the oldest tricks in Hollywood’s book when it comes to releasing new projects and celebrities, PR relationships. Public relations relationships are curated to help promote someone’s image, brand, and project. In this piece, I’ll be rating famous PR couples on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being my least favorite and 10 being my favorite. Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny 3/10

The pair were first spotted together in 2023 and called it quits around September 2024. I’m honestly surprised they lasted a full year! What did they possibly talk about? 818 Tequila? The only memorable moment from the two is Bad Bunny’s Instagram story, where he says, ‘Mami be careful, ‘and Kendall replies, ‘Rabies?’ and he says, ‘The mosquitoes. You have to watch it to understand why I’d give them a 3 out of 10. Also, I enjoyed their couple’s style.

Zendaya and Jacob Elordi 1/10

The rumors first came out in 2019, just a few months after the release of season 1 of Euphoria. For some reason, every time these two are mentioned as a couple, netizens say the relationship ended because Jacob cheated. Who told y’all that? The pictures of these two clearly show that someone from one of their teams called the paparazzi on them. I think this was just him testing the PR waters as an upcoming star. Who told me this? My intuition never lies.

Teanna Taylor and Aaron Pierre 6/10

They were confirmed to be dating in June of 2025, and by the end of that year, they were already broken up. It is very difficult for two extremely hot people to get together and not get PR allegations. The two were having fun together, and I can stand by that.

Olandria Carthen and Nic Vansteenberghe 9/10

After weeks of fan edits and anticipation, production knew exactly what they were doing when they set them up for a romantic private dinner and told them they could only return to the villa if they coupled up. They were the best thing to come from that hell of a season.

Zendaya and Tom Holland (10/10)

No Spider-Man movie is complete without the actors who play Peter and MJ getting together in real life. I’m almost convinced it’s part of the contract. Tom and Zendaya are no exception. Sometimes, real couples use their relationship for PR. Now that the Spider-Man press is long over, they are living privately at their English cottage with maybe about two kids and a few dogs.
