“I have always been fascinated with the way in which memory is preserved. Specifically through photographs, there have been an array of ways in which people keep and decorate memory as a physical item. Through this photoshoot I wanted to explore the beauty of traditional ways of communication and preservation of memory, like letters and physical photographs. There is a lot of beauty in the way that one could keep and carry around the memorabilia of a loved one, and I wanted to showcase that through the elements of this shoot.” - Brooke Durney
