Sisters With Sisters Just Get It

Who will steal the newest shirt in your closet that you have yet to wear, call you nasty names and criticize your mere existence? Your sister. Who will finish your sentences, pick up your every phone call and have your back at any given moment? Also, your sister. Sisterhood is a dichotomy. The same person who will pull your hair will do your hair. If you are not a sister of a sister, I daresay that this relationship might sound toxic. But trust me, this is a normal, healthy, fully functional sisterly relationship.

My sisters do not just get me, but they get everything. Not only can my sisters, Myla and Mairen, sense my energy without exchanging a single word, but they can do the same for people they have only met once or whom they have never met at all. I suppose it might be a sister superpower. Read on to learn other phenomenons of life that sisters with sisters just get

Sisters With Sisters Just Get Friendship

Sisters with sisters make the best friends. Yes, I am a sister with a sister, so I am inherently biased, but I 100% stand by my statement.

My sisters are my first besties, and our relationship continues to teach me the art of showing up for friends. My first sleepovers and gossip sessions were with my sisters. Watching my sisters experience their emotional highs, lows, and in-betweens taught me to understand and respond to other people’s emotions as they manifest.

Sisters with sisters also make great listeners and advice-givers. I mean, we have been working on our advice delivery methods since before we could speak.

Sisters With Sisters Just Get Humility

As a sister of sisters, my head can only get so big. This is not to say they do not instill confidence in me because they do. They are the first ones to cheer me on when I win or remind me who I am when I need a win. However, they remain committed to ensuring my feet never detach from the floor beneath me. They keep me humble. I mean, did I need to know that I made the wrong nail color choice after it was on every nail on my body? No, but it definitely keeps me grounded.

Sisters With Sisters Just Get Sharing

What’s mine is yours, and what’s yours is mine; an unspoken rule of sisterhood. It is a rule I pretend to forget when I guard my own closet, but one I uphold when barging in my sisters’ for the perfect top to pair with my jeans. In life, you share more than just your closets. But being a sister with sisters has taught me that ‘sharing is caring.’ Ultimately, when I see my sisters feeling good in my clothes, I feel good, whether they ask or not.
