What Your Christmas Aesthetic Says About You

Every avid Christmas enthusiast likely has a preferred Christmas aesthetic they lean into yearly. Whether that be something classy like a white Christmas or a nostalgic toy-filled winter wonderland, every Christmas decor preference has something to say!

Keep reading, and let's find out what exactly your Christmas aesthetic says about you!

Classic Christmas

A classic Christmas is all about… well, the classics! Think Frank Sinatra singing Christmas jazz through a record player while perfectly placed tinsel glistens on the perfect green tree, adorned in glittering red ornaments. If this sounds like your Christmas, I’m willing to bet you are very into personal traditions. You most likely have a nail color you swear by whenever you visit the salon, and a coffee order you’ll order till the grave. While holiday decorating is one of your favorite seasonal pastimes, it is more of a sport than a hobby for you.

Nostalgic Christmas

A nostalgic Christmas is like a memory come to life, like a Charlie Brown tree almost snapping from all of the handmade childhood ornaments, macaroni necklaces, and colorful lights piled onto it. Every single piece of decoration pulled out of storage has a memory attached, and childhood Christmas classics play on the television constantly. You are the most whimsical person around, fiercely protective of both your inner child and trinket collection. I know your loved ones will be receiving some of the most amazing handmade gifts from you.

White Christmas

If a Hallmark set and heaven had a baby, it would be your holiday Pinterest board. Warm white lights glitter on every surface of your home, and every snow-themed piece of decor imaginable is on display. An angel is perched serenely on top of your white frosted tree, overlooking your ethereal home. I know that you are a French tip warrior and adore any fluffy sweater you come across. Every Christmas Eve is dedicated to caroling and praying for a white Christmas (yes, even if you are a Floridian).

Pink-mas

A true pink enjoyer doesn’t let predetermined holiday colors deter them from continuing to live in a pink world. Christmas becomes pink to you. Your tree is pink, your ornaments are pink, and your stocking is pink. Every part of your house looks sugared and glittery, like a Victoria's Secret candy cane wand was waved, and baby pink nutcrackers and twinkle lights appeared. Ariana Grande's Christmas album is going to be on a constant loop until the big day. You definitely worship Dior lip oil, and if you don’t own it yet, it's definitely on your Christmas list.

Gothic Christmas

Are you waiting for Santa Claus or Krampus? Your decorations are deep plums, greens, burgundies, and blacks– each with beautiful lace inlays or intricate engravings. Your holiday spirit is as haunting as it is beautiful, with plug-in lights swapped out in favor of flickering candlesticks and Red Water (Christmas Mourning) by Type O Negative playing instead of Mariah Carey. You really love A Christmas Carol, and I desperately want to sit next to you at Christmas dinner.
