Entering Island Time: Lexi Rivera’s Coastal Collaboration with Cupshe

With the holidays behind us and winter temperatures still dropping, many of us are already dreaming of sun-soaked days, sandy beaches, and summer escapes. As we prepare to trade trench coats and puffers for bikinis and breezy cover-ups, vacation fashion brand Cupshe—the No.1 destination for resort-ready style—kicks off 2026 with the launch of its newest collection, Island Time, in collaboration with social media star Lexi Rivera.

The Island Time collection, which officially launched on January 8, marks an exciting new chapter for Cupshe. Inspired by Rivera’s effortless confidence and laid-back lifestyle, the collection reflects a shared ethos between creator and brand: embracing the present moment and living unhurriedly. With over 8 million followers on Instagram and 29.5 million on TikTok, Rivera brings her unmistakable influence and personal style to a collection that signals the next phase of Cupshe’s refreshed brand direction.

Lexi Rivera sat down with Strike LA, alongside writer Andrea Arguello, to discuss the inspiration behind the collection, her creative involvement, and what it means to represent a new era for Cupshe.

A: What initially drew you to collaborate with Cupshe on the Island Time collection, and how did this partnership come together?

L: I love swimwear so when Cupshe pitched this collection idea, it immediately caught my eye. After some discussion on how the partnership would work, product direction, new quality materials and the overall tone of the campaign the partnership fell into place.

A: Do you have a favorite piece from the collection? What makes it stand out to you personally?

L: I like the leopard print. It’s perfect when you are looking for something fun and different.

A: How involved were you in the creative process, and were there any specific design elements you were excited to bring to life?

L: I was very involved throughout the entire campaign. Cupshe knew my style and what I like so we went over a ton of different styles and I curated the collection from there. The collection has a naturally beach/island vibe so I was excited to showcase some of the pieces in beautiful Hawaii.

A: You mention shooting your campaign in Hawaii. How did that setting influence the overall vibe and styling of the collection?

L: It definitely helped me and the Cupshe crew come together to make the idea come full circle.

A: What does “Island Time” mean to you, and how does that idea show up in the collection?

L: It definitely has a relaxing feel. It means enjoy the present moment. Don’t dwell on the past or stress about the future.

A: Looking ahead, what’s next for you creatively or professionally that you’re most excited about?

L: I have been in the works creating my own swimsuit brand. Working with Cupshe helped show me what it looks like to be a part of the beachwear/swimsuit world.

A: How did you balance creating a trendy collection that is still unique and true to your style?

L: Luckily Cupshe had a head start knowing some of the styles I liked so after some rounds of design feedback, pieces that didn’t make this collection and 3 try on sessions I feel like the balance of a trendy yet true to me.
